+Progression Depresssion

Is change a good thing? Is the act of constantly moving forward and gaining more knowledge and technology an excellent thing to achieve? Most people would say yes, I would say have to say maybe. I mean think about it, with our phones getting smaller we are losing them more, with TVs becoming larger and more clear people aren’t leaving their couch, with video chat you always have to look good while on the phone you don’t have to. This post is mostly just to make you think. I just had a thought about the progression of the world, and realized it isn’t always a good thing. Weapons are becoming deadlier and easier to get a hold on. Nuclear energy for example, the radiation is extremely dangerous yet we still use it every single day. Our cars release gases that poison the earth and create nasty black smoke. I’m just wondering when we will start making advances that aren’t bad or harmful to the environment or even ourselves. I’m not saying that all progression is bad though; the smaller phones are more convenient; the TVs are a really nice luxury; video chat is great when you have friends or family far away and can’t see them often; cars get us from point A to point B quickly, cheaply, and efficiently; weapons still keep us safe; and nuclear energy is a great energy source. Progression is good for us, but also harmful. I’m just saying we need to find a happy balance of progression that gives off more good than harm.
